Meet our new art director...Miss Brynn

Precious. That's the first word that comes to mind with this little lady. She is as sweet and adorable as her mom and dad. ~One of our favorite bridal couples from last summer, they returned to Red Shoe this spring, first for a What's Kickin' maternity session and then for a baby session with Miss Brynn. As you can see, she had complete control over the photo shoot, approving every shot all afternoon!

Little Mr. Grayson

Little Grayson made quite a grand entrance into the world several weeks early. He's the happiest little man and the apple of his mommys eye. (and grandma's too!) I think he has BOTH of them wrapped around his little finger. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's got his daddy right where he wants him too.

Shanna and Drew's Ceremony on the Hill

Shanna and Drew...Hot day, cool couple! What more could we ask for at the top of the hill on the campus at Gustavus college?! ...I mean, have you seen that view?! Well, how about a bride who couldn't stop smiling, a groom who couldn't stop gazing at his new wife, and a couple who couldn't hide their excitement to finally be together even if they tried!

Their adventurous spirit has taken them to mountain tops and hiking trails just about anywhere so it seems fitting that they would choose to speak their vows on top of that glorious hill over looking the city. Well, that and maybe because they are both proud alumni!

Here are some of our favs from the day (so hard to choose!)

On Cake and Art...

Gorgeous bride, thoughtful details, plenty of sparkle. It was a weekend to remember for sure. Dawn put so much thought into making sure every single guest had a good time at their wedding. She and Marvin did it right. From the grooms dinner complete with after dinner fireworks to the scrumptious and decadent cake. Not a minute went by that wasn't carefully planned and thought out.

The cake was truly a work of pottery inspired art. We were given the details upon first meeting Dawn and we knew the cake was going to be a masterpiece! But WOW What a show stopper! See it first hand from the cake genius herself at: http://gateaux-inc.blogspot.com

And in case you're wondering... yes, it was as delicious as it looked!

Little Miss Claire and her lollipop

When you're three, the last thing you want to do is stand still and strike a pose for the crazy ladies with the cameras. BUT, give a girl a lollipop, and she's putty in your hands. :o)
Claire made us laugh, made us "tea", and got a little hungry after all that work so she finished her session with a sour apple lollipop.. and these last few frames were some of our favorites.

Steph's grad session

Steph graduates high school this weekend. It's been a joy watching her grow into the young woman she has become. (I've known her since she was in middle school.)

If there is one thing I could say about Steph, it's: don't let her size fool you. She's petite but she's a power house. She was the "secret weapon" in volleyball and basketball. No opponent ever suspected a thing and she would surprise them every time! And I'm pretty sure she's relieved the dad squad of cheerleaders retired by the time she was in high school... it may have thrown her concentration!

Not only is she a talented athlete, she is a gifted actor and smart student. Though she may be small, her heart is as big as they come. She is sweet, kind and just so much fun. It's no wonder she's a friend to so many. I'd say her parents (who are also good friends) raised her well. Kudo's to mom, Karen and dad, Steve. Ya done good!

And to Steph, congratulations! You've worked so hard and done it all with such grace. You are an amazing young woman. I can't wait to see where life takes you!
