Growing Pains

Well, not really "pains"... we've grown to the point that we need a larger studio space. As of June 30th, we will no longer be located at 112 E Liberty. We are on the look out for a larger studio... Stay tuned!

Happy Anniversary Jen and Rob

Miss Claire is 4!

Seems like only yesterday she was in and we did her 2 year portraits. So fun to see her as the little lady she has become. But, where does the time go!?! Thanks for doing such a great job modeling on your photo shoot Claire!

Yoga on a Sunday Afternoon

Sun Moon Yoga studio is a neighbor of ours. We often use it as reference point when people ask how to get to our studio. Everyone seems to know where Sun Moon Yoga is. No wonder.... look at the level of physical condition these instructors are in! As we worked on this photo shoot, we stood in awe of these women.

Red Shoe Cafe

Every new year, Karon and I do a review, of sorts, on the previous year. What were the highlights? What did we do differently last year from the year before? What would we like to do differently in the upcoming year? How can we become better photographers?

This year has been no exception. One of the big things we've discussed in recent weeks is how we can make the bridal experience better for each bride that comes to us. ~And not just the portraits on the wedding day, but the whole bridal experience. We both feel so strongly that the weeks and months leading up to your wedding should be exciting, fun, full of joy and most importantly, stress free!

We don't want you to feel you have to "settle" for a photographer whether it's due to time or budget constraints or for any other reason. While we have a lot of fun, don't let the laughter and craziness fool you, we're very serious about your wedding portraits and we want to create a delightful and totally comfortable wedding portrait experience for you. So you have the portraits you've dreamed of having. We believe your wedding day portraits begin the day we meet and it's a journey we're on together until your long after your wedding day.

Now, we've been known to ease a little stress the day of the wedding on occasion... We've done our fair share of picking unapproved "filler" flowers out of a bridal bouquet for an upset and tearful bride or two, or to sew up a quick hem line now and then, and even tote bags of curling irons and flip flops to the car when need be. We pride ourselves on being happy to help out in any way we can!

In 2011, Karon and I are challenging ourselves to be even more accommodating. We don't want to be just another vendor to check off your list. We want you to be completely confident in your choice to hire Red Shoe Gallery. We want to be the least stressful part of your wedding day planning. ~That's how Red Shoe Cafe came to be. It's our way of helping you create the bridal experience you desire. There is a lot to Red Shoe Cafe, and we're still putting the final details together, but we're excited to tell you that the Cafe is going to open up some pretty cool possibilities and planning insight that will allow you to truly personalize your wedding day portraits and also offer a network of other trusted vendors you can call on with complete confidence so it really is your day, just the way you want it.

Stay tuned... because in the days and weeks to follow, we're going to be opening the cafe just for you!
