Just a few from our recent shoot with Grace. This little lady is 4 weeks old and already knows how to work the camera! It's a good thing, too. After all, she's part of the family so I predict there will be a lot of modeling in her future. Can you blame me? Look how adorable!!!
This little chunky monkey is such a cutie patootie! We did his one year pics so his mommy could custom design his very own baseball themed photo invitations! What a little ham! Every time he saw me with the camera he turned on the charm. We started out in the studio and moved out to the ball field and he was all smiles the whole time! Should I start with the slapstick? How about: Our session was a "home run". Or: This little guy is a "hall of famer"!? Maybe: The afternoon was a "grand slam"?!
Okay, I've said it before, but it's true! We get to hang out with the coolest couples! Moe and Jeff two were so giggly and flirty with each other all day! It was so much fun to spend their day with them. They have personalities that fill up a room and their warmth & laughter overflows everywhere they are. They share a sweet affection for a certain classic Mustang convertible. An uncanny connection to the number 12, a love for sushi and share a pretty funny story involving mint Bailey's. Here are a few of our favorites from their day.
Back in May, we shared pics from Dawns wedding. Now that she and her man, Marvin are happily enjoying life as newlyweds, Dawn is busy designing her dressing room. The first order of business is art for the walls. Her first piece? This print of the magnificent Manolo's she wore on her wedding day! (Well one of the 2 pair) You may have seen these stunning blue beauties worn by another fabulous bride... Carrie Bradshaw, Mrs. Big, in the first SATC movie.
It's not every day we get to shoot Manolo's so we took full advantage of the opportunity when it was presented to us!! From the shots we took on her wedding day, we have designed this piece for Dawn's dressing room wall. What a great way to enjoy those details of your wedding day, every day!
We all agree here, don't we? Every Manolo is truly a work of art..
An afternoon of smiles and laughter and super-happilicious images of the delightful Laura and Rob. These two so clearly love being in each other's company. And they are on a determined life pursuit of happiness and fun and living-in-the-moment together. Personalities that fill up a room, warmth & laughter that that overflows. Theirs is a romantic story and comes full circle by blending their two families. It's a little reminiscent of the Brady Bunch. They are the first to admit it and they wouldn't have it any other way. Serious about family, and having fun. It came thru in all the details of their day. And who else can can you think of that can come back up the isle to the theme song from Charlie Brown and crash their own reception by making their grand entrance on a dirt bike!? Thatis some serious fun!
Precious. That's the first word that comes to mind with this little lady. She is as sweet and adorable as her mom and dad. ~One of our favorite bridal couples from last summer, they returned to Red Shoe this spring, first for a What's Kickin' maternity session and then for a baby session with Miss Brynn. As you can see, she had complete control over the photo shoot, approving every shot all afternoon!
Little Grayson made quite a grand entrance into the world several weeks early. He's the happiest little man and the apple of his mommys eye. (and grandma's too!) I think he has BOTH of them wrapped around his little finger. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's got his daddy right where he wants him too.
Shanna and Drew...Hot day, cool couple! What more could we ask for at the top of the hill on the campus at Gustavus college?! ...I mean, have you seen that view?! Well, how about a bride who couldn't stop smiling, a groom who couldn't stop gazing at his new wife, and a couple who couldn't hide their excitement to finally be together even if they tried!
Their adventurous spirit has taken them to mountain tops and hiking trails just about anywhere so it seems fitting that they would choose to speak their vows on top of that glorious hill over looking the city. Well, that and maybe because they are both proud alumni!
Here are some of our favs from the day (so hard to choose!)
